Bethany McKinzie Global Ecosystems (BMGE) is a strategic initiative rooted in lived experience and built for impact. We help rural and underserved communities design their own futures through bottom-up innovation, agile workforce strategies, and adaptable ecosystems.
Our work supports small businesses, local leaders, and regional change agents who are ready to build beyond survival—toward systems that are sustainable, inclusive, and future-ready.
How We Build
-
Innovation Showcases
A public-facing demonstration of what’s possible when communities lead.
Innovation Showcases are designed to spotlight homegrown talent, scalable ideas, and region-specific solutions developed by cohort participants, ecosystem builders, and small business leaders. These events—whether live, virtual, or pop-up—connect local innovations with funders, community partners, and wider audiences ready to invest in bold, grounded solutions. BMGE’s Showcase model is meant to scale: it can be replicated across regions to highlight place-based progress, foster visibility, and catalyze long-term ecosystem investment. -
Community & Cohort Programs
Where learning meets collaboration—and ideas become action.
BMGE’s Community Cohorts are regional and industry-specific learning groups designed for small business owners, founders, and change agents navigating growth and transformation.
Each cohort blends peer exchange, applied strategy, and shared problem-solving—giving participants a support network and space to build together. Through structured discussions, local insight, and strategic tools, participants co-develop responses to shared challenges while expanding both knowledge and connection. -
Peer Mentorship
Led by experience. Rooted in community wisdom.
Our Peer Mentorship model connects participants with professionals who’ve walked the path before them—those with firsthand experience in navigating challenges, building businesses, or leading transformation in similar environments. Mentors and mentees engage in structured knowledge exchange, hands-on guidance, and strategic reflection. More than just advice, BMGE mentorship fosters leadership readiness, confidence, and cross-sector capacity—empowering both individuals and the communities they serve.
